Osmo Oil 3032 and associated family

OSMO 3032 and The Polyx Oil Family

We were looking for an oil suitable for Australian Timbers. Not as easy as it sounds. The average Australian timber is around 2.5 times harder than a European equivalent. Since oils need to penetrate the surface there is a need for the oils to be very fine. We tried quite a few and they weren't that great. They sat on top of the wood and they scratched really easily over a longer period. If you have a timber floor then you want it to look good over a long period, NOT scratch easily and look unsightly.

Osmo systems can be patched in high wear areas without needing a full re-sand: Try that with a polyurethane finish! The sander will tell you to sand and finish the lot. But with Osmo simply apply a little oil to the area. Job Done!

We came across Osmo a few years ago and looked for an opportunity to take it on. This came in 2011 and it has been a success story ever since. A really nice product that is easy to use. Many flooring specialists would use it all the time if they could.

Osmo Polyx oil is a clear, non-yellowing oil perfect for high-traffic areas requiring superior protection such as wooden flooring and furniture. Made from 100% natural ingredients Osmo oil is perfectly safe for use on children's toys and food surfaces when dry.

Tips: The oil coverage is very good. A 2.5 Litre tin will cover between 60 and 75m2 with one coat and we have found the best results come when it is closer to 75m2.

The range includes
3032 Satin
3062 Matt
3058 for bench tops
Several maintenance products as well as application tools
